Can you see flicker at 10 Hz or below? If not, your display has good flicker control. Many budget panels use PWM dimming at 60–250 Hz — too fast to see directly but detectable with a phone camera.
Camera trick: Point a slow-motion camera at your screen. If you see dark bands sweeping across it, your monitor uses PWM dimming.
